I think I might be finally getting to grips with digital illustrations now! I started trying to mix graphite pencils and water colour and then scanning to fill in on photoshop, however I soon found out that despite creating some interesting mixes it was difficult to create the texture from watercolour paper and still keep the pencil smooth. I also found it difficult to keep the paper flat after using the watercolour and frequently had issues scanning the work. Therefore I stopped using the watercolours and focused on graphite pencils. I think this is working to my advantage. I am really enjoying practicing my illustrations and seeing the progress!
